A web designer from Bournemouth. At aged 37, I came to the conclusion that just like an older lady would go through the menopause, that I maybe starting going through a mid-life crisis and figured i need to get my skates on before I am too old to do a big adventure like this, well I probably could but who knows, I could trip over the cat and do some damage :)

After visiting China a couple of times I got a bit of the travel bug for Asia, and now I am ready to hit the streets again.

Looking Forward To
Off roading for sure, big kid when it comes to 4×4’s and cars and all that boys stuff. But will probably be sick of the craters after a few hundred miles.

Not Looking Forward to
Goat balls for breakfast, cheapy hotels (i’m a spoilt man) and missing my wife and daughter.

Not Sure About
Bears.. will there be bears on our route in Russia?

A civil engineer, flying in from Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia to add some colonial survival skills to the team. At 33, way to early to be a mid life crisis (I hope), maybe just a chance to see more of the world. Still can’t believe my wife said I could go – probably just looking forward to getting rid of me for a month.

I don’t mind driving, rarely shower or change clothes and can sleep just about anywhere, so this may be my calling.

Not going to work, trying to speak different languages, reading time and eating weird foods

Not Looking forward To
Not going to work (it’s a love, hate thing), missing the family (and my dogs Bindi & Milo) and getting lost on the way

Not sure about
Trying to get a car 8,000 miles through deserts, rivers crossing and mountain ranges with an IT expert (…..sorry Steve).
